FearLab @ Sinister

Thrill lab puts on its horror-hat in association with new horror film Sinister. We’re triangulating fear by looking at a range of physiological markers, and this film is giving our vicarious system a run for its money.

Extra points for noticing the colourcube=science in filmmaking effect.

Guest Speaker @ Affective Computing UK

Screen Shot 2015-10-28 at 16.41.09

I had the great pleasure recently to be an invited seminal speaker at AC.UK, a get together of researchers  and interested parties in the field of Affective Computing and Social Signal Processing in the UK. Sharing a stage with the great Roddy Cowie may have been a little daunting, but there weren’t too many snores in the audience as I talked about ideas of affective vs affected computing, and open-loop vs closed-loop biofeedback systems. Thrilling stuff I’m sure you’ll agree.
